Babes go to Fashion's Night Out

Who had fun last night at Fashion's Night Out? We did! Many of free beverages were consumed, mostly in SoHo shops with mediocre clothes. Although personally, us babes were expecting more in the way of swag. Oh well, getting greedy is very unbabe-like. Honestly, the highlight of the evening was drinking champagne inside of a J. Crew. There aren't  many opportunities in life to do such a thing.

We're all looking forward to the rest of fashion week. Unfortunately, all of us babes have come down with a nasty cold so we'll be forced to look at all the collections on Style.com from the privacy of our own caves today. Hopefully tomorrow we'll be back out tearing up the streets.

Yo, it's Fashion Week

It's fashion week babes. Time to get dolled up and go hang around the tents in hopes of sneaking in to a show or two, or at least spotting a celeb. More importantly, tonight is Fashion's Night Out. What that really means for us babes, is open bar galore all across Manhattan (and probably BKLYN too?). We got to go put on our finest duds, but expect more coverage soon.

Sex in Central Park

Miss MAC popped her Sex and the City sighting cherry today. The cast was filming next to Central Park this (Tuesday) afternoon and the babes totally stopped to watch Carrie and Charlotte walk the same hundred foot stretch a few times over and over again. It was thrilling. Unfortunately, some bitchy PAs were stopping us from getting up close enough to the action to get a decent pic, so this will have to do.

Note to selves: buy one of those big ass paparazzi cameras, so that the next time we find ourselves in this situation we can be selling these pics to US Weekly for craploads of money.

Sunday/Monday

Hello to all you babes out there! We've really missed you the past couple of days but we have had a very busy weekend. Judging from the port-o-potty lines yesterday, everyone was a good little babe and made it out to Sunday Best and danced their rear ends off to DJ Harvey's set. For those of you who didn't make it out, this is what it looked like (as seen through the eyes of a Fuji Finepix Z digital camera [turqoise]):

As for what it FELT like, well, you'll just have to imagine. Scientists haven't invented that technology yet.

If y'all still got some energy left in ya then head over to Beats & BBQ in Billsburg. You still got an hour or so left if you hurry, and you may still be able to grab some free drumsticks if you're lucky.

Babes heart slow roasted meat.

As for us, we need to recover. We'll probably be loungin' around catching the last Gossip Girl rerun before the season premiere next week. Here's some pics of the cast looking bangin' as usual during a recent taping.
Babes also heart Taylor Momsen.

That chick in the background is eyein' Ed big time.

Babes, til we meet again.

Glamour Ghost

Is it just us or is there totally a glamorous ghost in this picture? Everyone knows that cameras capture all kinds of ghosts that aren't visible to the human eye. We were just lucky enough to be snapping photos in the Bowery the other night, and managed to catch a glimpse into another dimension where beautiful women in evening gowns roam free.

What happened to this women? How did she die? Was she murdered by some sicko serial killer junkie? Why is she stuck in limbo when she appears to be so heavenly? We may never know her story, but we know she is watching over all the babes all the time. Thank you glamour ghost, thank you.

Still Sleepy

Good morning babes! Oops, good afternoon. We are waking up a little late this morning. Last night we took a trip out to Big Sister Borough and now we are sulking around feeling guilty about our 5 dollar Budweisers. Could've had like six Subway apiece footlongs instead.

Back here in BKLYN, the stupid MTA is rejecting the idea to have an art contest to honor MJ in the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station where he filmed the video for "Bad". Sooo LAME. Guess the MTA prefers to keep there rat infested, underground hellholes as depressing as possible. We got one thing to say to them - YOUR BUTT IS MINE.

Here's the epic version, which apparently was directed by Martin Scorsese. Not sure if we're the only people in the universe who didn't know that.

Happy Humpday!

Well babes, it's humpday. Which actually means nothing to me cause MissMAC doesn't have a job, but congrats to all you rat racers out there! You have survived half of your hellish week! This one is for you...

But seriously, I need a job you guys. Does anyone have an extra one they could give me?

Hello Babes!

Welcome to Babes of Brooklyn! How do you like our template? Maybe one day we will take an HTML class but for now you can bask in the glow of our "Minima" (that's not a typo, it's the template name) look.

This site is about things that are going to happen, have happened, or we only wish would happen in the borough of BKLYN, and also the WORLD.

Did anyone else look at myopenbar.com this past Friday and then subsequently get crushed in the taco vulture tsunami at Hope Lounge? We did. Did anyone else not learn their lesson? And then proceed to the new Blackout bar in Greenpoint, only to have their bodies smashed up against the bar, resulting in three broken ribs and an 8oz. plastic cup of Poland Spring Vodka and tonic? We did. But we also learned that these Blackout people did a rad job designing the place. We look forward to many future makeout seshes in their back room.

I don't know about you guys, but we're feelin' kinda pissed that we didn't make it out to the Grizzly Bear show on Sunday. Not cause we give an eff about Grizzly Bear, that shit is dull, but because we missed a primo chance to see Jay-Z and Beyonce chillin' on a Sunday afternoon. You can kinda see the back of their heads in this video...

But alas, the past is the past. We know it's only Tuesday (almost Wednesday) but we're already getting pumped up for this Sunday's Sunday Best party atBKLYN Yard with DJ Harvey. Also pumped for the after party at The Bellhouse. Holy crap, this is gonna be like a 24 hour party. Literally. We is gonna be CRUNKED. Please, don't call us Monday.
